Now I’m madder at the USPS than the stock market or ebay! They lost my equity line payment. I had rolled my USAA credit card interest free balance to the equity line to take advantage of another interest free USAA offer. So I when USAA was paid off I mailed my equity line payment with a check from my USAA account. USPS seems to have lost it (or Wachovia is sitting on it somewhere). Everyday I wait for someone to find the check, it costs me more. If they don’t find it soon I will have to stop payment ($29) on the USAA check. I did call USAA to raise my limit so I could payoff 1/2 the Wachovia equity line with a check at the branch today. I figure I’m going to end up paying $30-100 just because I thought mailing it would be better than taking 5 minutes to go to the branch to make the payment. Add this to the difficult shipping insurance catch with my ebay experience and I’m totally off the USPS. Hey Obama, sell it to UPS, Fed Ex. or Apple.

Yes, a single wire connector was loosened in shipping. Cost me $20 postage, $1.25 ebay listing fee and a $140 sale. I can’t blame anyone but the USPS, paypal, ebay and the temporary buyer. All contributed to making something simple in to a minor disaster. Please avoid all of them.
A now working Capresso Ultima 121 video.
The symptoms of the Capresso Ultima problems were, when you went to make coffee/espresso, it dripped water in to the base and would not flow through the coffee grounds. The hot water, steam and other functions of the machine worked fine.
The bottom of the Capresso Ultima 121 is held in place by three small torx security screws.
This picture shows the machine from the bottom with the bottom cover now removed. In the exact center of this picture are two connections attached to the left of a square shaped object. The lower one with a blue wire and the upper one with a white wire. The connector with the white wire was off the terminal when I opened the machine. I think this must control the valve that lets the high pressure water flow to the coffee grounds. By not opening the valve the water had no where to go but through the pressure release mechanism and in to the overflow tray.

The coffee machine was sitting on my door stop this afternoon. Took it out and tested it. It has just the damage described by the buyer that she would not assist filing a claim for. Water runs in to the drip pan from somewhere inside when you try to make espresso. Hot water and steam work fine. She mentioned some other problem about the red light not working but I think she didn’t know how the machine worked as the lights are functioning as designed. I’m going to get the special tools to remove the security screws to see if it’s something easy to fix like some loose pluming. Confirmed with Capresso that there is a flat rate $75 repair for this machine that also covers shipping both ways. Not a bad deal but not something I’m interested in fooling with.

Update: Just found better pictures here! I wish I had seen them first! He also had a good idea to remove the seatbacks first, as that would make it easier to get the bottom free and fiddle with the rear bar on the seat bottom. He explains it all very well. Go there.
I’ve seen a couple of very helpful posts about R56 MINI rear seat removal and I thought I’d like to add 3 pictures that make things just a bit clearer. It turned out to be really easy but these few tips may save you a few minutes of fiddling. The other post was removing his whole rear interior. The steps to remove the seats are much simpler. You don’t need to remove any trim etc.
As the other sites say, the front seat bottom just pulls up. Pull out the plastic child anchor boxes. I needed more effort on the middle two. I think these anchors hold the seat but a bit of careful effort should get the bottom out. It’s all soft foam so don’t jerk too hard.
It’s hard to see what’s going on with the seatbacks so I thought these pictures may help someone. You basically just need to free the center facing pin on each seatback from the center mount and then align and pull out each outer pin from the side sockets. Once you do it, it will take 10 seconds the second time.
This first image shows the center mount between the two seatbacks. Just insert a screwdriver and twist or pivot to pry the clips off the center facing pins on the seatbacks while swinging the seatback free of the clip. I have removed the seatbacks at this point to show the mount clearly.

This next picture shows the side sockets that the outer side of each seatback fits in to. Notice that the socket has a horizontal keyway. This shows the passenger side.

This last picture shows the pin on the outer side of each seatback. I have the seat at an angle to show the angle needed to lift the seat from flat to free itself of the keyway. Seems close to 45 degrees. This is the driver side seatback. Once you reach that angle you can twist the seatback toward the rear to get it out. There is a small plastic cover around the pin that I found easier to pull out and away from the socket prior to getting the seatback out. You can see that in the picture also Notice the small pin on this plastic part and the hole it fits in to on the socket in the other picture.

Hope this helps!

Didn’t we see this somewhere before?
Yes we did! I wonder if this was the first or there is some other undiscovered originator of this practise? I wonder if MINI will mind some graffiti? It looks like the cars used won’t ever see the road anyway.
