Here is a pic of the Roomba I received the other day from Amazon.com. I was a little worried that the old style non-caster wheel would cause a problem with my flooring but it looks like the finish on the flooring is more than tough enough.
2007 is here, now what?
I did get my production number for my MINI Cooper S. I’m told it’s to be built in late January 2007. Hopefully that will mean an early March delivery but no one has committed on that yet.
I ordered a Roomba Red robotic vacuum cleaner from Amazon for around $125 after $25 discount. This is the base model but the only drawbacks are you need to start it with a button press,find it when it’s done and plug it in manually to recharge. For $100 more I can upgrade to the model that you can program to start, run and recharge itself. The cool thing is that the Roomba seems to have a good level of support in the general robotics community as it has so many robotic features for such a low price. Also the company is reported to have excellent customer service.
